Becoming apart of the U-TURN family has not only been a dream come true for me, it has been a life changing experience in relation to my understanding of the music industry in becoming a better rounded artist.

Since first connecting with Godfrey Fletcher via facebook in late 2009, I have collaborated with many great artists, who I have come to know and care about. Each artist in their own right has massively contributed in helping me step up my game, change my mindset and attitude to life, as well as encouraged me to grow from strength to strength.

I know this may sound a little cliché, but if I had to sum up how being a part of the U-turn family makes me feel in one sentence, I would have to say that it feels as though I have won the lottery. I have transformed so much artistically over the last few months, that I hardly recognise myself. I have learned to put a value on my sound and the work I do which was something I took for granted.

In the space of 8-10 months my sound has been heard across the globe, I’ve featured in my first video shoot, I’ve been produced by and am currently working with the Legendary Herb Middleton who is not only an amazing musician but he produced several tracks for my icon Mary J Blige who inspired me to become the vocalist you see today plus, I have just started working my own event to help promote independent artist like myself.

My artistic journey as a result of the U –Turn project has enabled me, to connect with real artist who are real people that understand the meaning of being true. I am proud to call this collective my second family because they have really helped me to grow. I truly believe that if it wasn’t for Godfrey Fletcher who I’d like to call my guardian angel, I may never or should I say would have never of had the opportunity to work so many great people.

The U-TURN project for me represents preserving great music with meaning whilst bringing people of all ages, nationalities, ethnic backgrounds together to promote positive vibes. As a mother of two in my early thirties, the U- Turn project has embraced and provided opportunities for independent artist such as myself who would not normally fit into the current media or should I say societal categories that are consider acceptable. 

The U-Turn for me promotes Truth which is why I love being a part of it.
